We are seeking a talented and motivated postdoc or junior researcher to participate in a project that intend to identify potential biomarkers and/or molecular targets of immune-mediated synaptotoxic processes that are detrimental for Multiple Sclerosis.
To this aim, a multidisciplinary approach will be applied to preclinical and chimeric experimental models of Multiple Sclerosis.
The project has been founded by PNRR-MNESYS PE-12.
The successful candidate will have a degree in biology, biotechnology or related disciplines and preferably have 1-2 year laboratory training in molecular and cellular biology or neuroscience and basic experience in microRNA field.
Fluent in English. Key Tasks and Responsibilities As Junior Researcher in the Synaptic Immunopathology Lab the candidate will be responsible for:
- RNA extraction and qPCR experiments for mRNA and microRNA detection;
- Bioinformatics (putative target prediction of microRNAS; Gene Ontology);
- Statistics (in R o SPSS);
- Immunofluorescence and confocal imaging
- Animal handling;
- Communicating results effectively to others inside and outside the Lab.
The role is based in Rome – Italy. Salary will be commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will work with a flexible working schedule.
